About the Roundtable
The Fundy Tidal Energy SEA process included a Stakeholder Roundtable, with members representing a wide range of community, resource use, environmental, industry, government and First Nations interests.
The Roundtable met monthly during the SEA process (seven times in total) to advise the OEER Technical Advisory Group on the scope and implementation of the SEA, on the significance of the research and consultation findings, and on the recommendations included in the final SEA Report.
The SEA Process Lead, Lesley Griffiths, will chair the Roundtable.
Terms of Reference for the Stakeholder Roundtable were prepared, and organizations and sectors were invited to nominate candidates for consideration. The TAG appointed 24 members to the Roundtable (listed below under "Roundtable Members"). Every effort was made to be as inclusive as possible with respect to different stakeholder interests and geographic distribution.
The Roundtable was intended to complement other means of receiving public input. The Community Forums and written submissions provided important avenues for stakeholder and public participation in the SEA process.
